Stallions
Our new stud, Boonsnothinbutstyle – Boon!
After losing our old stud in 2023 we were looking for an experienced pasture breeding stud to fit our program. This guy's bloodlines aligned with what we were looking for. Our best old mare (no longer breeding) is by Bodee Boonsmal and this guy is a grandson of him. Peptoboonsmal, Shining Spark, Lad Leo, Shiners Tari and several others in there don’t hurt either! He loves cows and is settling in real well. He has sired lots of color so it will be fun to see what next year’s crop brings.
PEPS A DYNAMO (Deceased) 1999-2023
"Scotch" had an excellent temperament and passed it on to his foals. He was really well-balanced, with a nice head and neck, very good feet and stood 15.1, weighing 1,100. He was lightly shown NRCHA, winning just over $3,800--then he came home to go to work for us. Our goal is to raise good cow horses as well as ranch/rodeo horses. His offspring have done well in NRCHA events as well as ranch work with many repeat buyers. He even has some barrel racers!
Sadly we lost our ole boy in May 2023 so we had to scramble for the breeding season. Scotch was only turned out for 4 days before he got hurt and only 1 mare was pregnant. We used his frozen semen on 4 of our 6 remaining mares. We found that 2 of the oldies (favorites of course) are no longer breeding sound.
